The Haunting in Connecticut tells the creepy story of one family's supernatural ordeal in a house with a mysterious past.

Sara (Virginia Madsen) and Peter (Martin Donovan) Campbell's son Matt (Kyle Gallner) is diagnosed with cancer.  To get closer to the hospital where he is being treated, they move to Connecticut.

While adjusting to their new home, Matt experiences disturbing paranormal activity, particularly in the basement.  The family begins experiencing violent, supernatural events that the parents first blame on stress from the illness, but they later discover that their new home has a dark secret.

The family turns to Reverend Nicholas Popescu (Elias Koteas) who attempts to rid the house of its ghosts-- until the boy's condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.
